Three More Foul Phrases
Slippery Slope — The condition arising from the level playing field being tilted to a 45-degree angle. A legislator used the phrse twice in tow consecutive sentences the other day. Two times too many.
Roll Up My Sleeves — Suggested by a reader who adds that vast amounts of time could be saved if short-sleeved shirts were mandated at the Capitol. Big shot in the arm for retailers, too!
Strong Support — A pet peeve of one of my favorite special interest chiseler, lobbyist babes who notes in Zen-like simplicity that support is support.

If I hear Jim Brulte say “at the end of the day” one more time I will go from “1000% support” to “neutral if amended”.

Greg, Love the site. Keep up the fine work.
I’ll go topical on you … how about the phrase “making change?”
As in “I’ve spent 35 years making change.”
As if change is something to make, like a ham sandwich or a free throw.

How about – “I’ll continue to work with the opposition!”
