Correction
(Editor’s Note: It has been brought to the attention of management that an error occured in the March 23 posting, Committee Approves Bill on California Condor Carrion.
Through a lapse in editing, the following sentence appeared in the post:
“Like former Senate President Pro Tempore John Burton, California condors date back to before the Pleistocene Epoch.”
In point of fact, not only was Sen. Burton, the current chair of the California Democratic Party, born significantly later than the Pleistocene Epoch, he was born much later than the Cretaceous, Jurassic, Triassic, Permian and Carboniferous Periods of both the Mesozoic and Paleozoic Eras as well.
California’s Capitol regrets the error and has wedged yet another letter of reprimand in the chief correspondent’s personnel file.)
