Warren Buffett Defends Goldman Sachs at Annual Meeting
At the May 1 Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting in Omaha, Nebraska, not unsurprisingly, the first question of Berkshire’s CEO, Warren Buffett, focused on the Securities and Exchange Commission fraud lawsuit against investment banking giant Goldman Sachs of which Berkshire owns $5 billion in preferred stock.

Nothing Like a Berkshire Hathaway Meeting — Except a Grateful Dead Concert
Not often in a lifetime come back-to-back weekends in which the first centers on the Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders meeting, drinking in the wit and wisdom of Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger with 35,000 close friends followed by a Saturday in Los Angeles at a Dead show.

The Oracle of Omaha is A-OK.
Warren Buffett dished out investing advice, bon mots and life wisdom in equal measure at the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting last weekend, an event he calls the Woodstock of Capitalism.
At 31,000 attendance was up significantly from 2005 when 19,000 were on hand to hear Buffett and his long-time business partner Charlie Munger field whatever questions the audience threw at them for the better part of five hours.    Read more »
